About us

Eleven years in the same unit

You are handing over a car for the best part of a week. This page is the evidence that we are a real business in a real building that can put it right if we get it wrong.

How it started

A clean room,
not a lock-up

Foundry started wrapping vans in a draughty unit two doors down. The thing that changed everything was sealing the bay and heating it. Vinyl does not care how good you are if there is dust in the air — every particle under the film is a bump you cannot get out afterwards.

So the unit is enclosed, filtered and heated to a working temperature year round. That is not a luxury for a wrapping studio, it is the difference between a finish that looks right in daylight and one that does not.

Enclosed, filtered, heated bay
Vehicles inside overnight, never on the street
Panels stripped, not masked around
Film offcuts kept on file for repairs
The clean wrap bay: bright panel lights, a pale epoxy floor and a car half-wrapped in satin blue
Cover

What we’re actually insured for

Most wrap studios say “fully insured” and stop there, which means nothing. There are separate covers and plenty of businesses carry one and not the others. Certificates are on the wall.

Public liability — £5m

Injury to a member of the public or damage to their property arising from what we do.

Employers’ liability — £10m

Compulsory with staff. The legal minimum is £5m and non-compliance runs to fines of up to £2,500 a day.

Motor trade road risk

We road test and we collect, so we carry it. A studio that does neither may not.

Customer vehicles on premises

Your car is covered while it is with us, including overnight inside the unit.

Straight answers

What we won’t do

Four jobs we turn down, and why. If someone else will take them on, ask what you're getting.

Wrap over bad paint

Film follows what is underneath. A chip shows as a dimple, a scratch shows as a line. We correct first or we tell you it will show.

Wrap a fresh respray

New paint needs weeks to gas off. Film on top traps solvent and the finish suffers. We will give you a date, not a refusal.

Quote without seeing it

Photographs get you a range. The firm number comes once the car is in front of us, and then it does not move.

Mask instead of strip

It is quicker, it is cheaper, and it lifts within months. If someone has quoted you much less, ask which one they are doing.

The team

Who’ll be doing it

Four of us, no subcontractors. The person who quotes your car is one of the people who wraps it.

Film we use

Accredited, not just stocked

Manufacturer accreditation matters on film because the warranty follows the installer, not the roll.
